litecrete coated beeds
litecrete coated beeds
Litecrete ultra-lightweight insulating aggregate is made up of recycled polystyrene waste material which would normally have been destined for landfill. The waste polystyrene is collected and processed to an aggregate size ranging from 4mm to 8mm.
The recycled polystyrene is then coated with our additive which ensures that the lightweight aggregate does not separate from the water and cement mix and ensures a homogenous distribution of the recycled polystyrene beads throughout the concrete mix.
Our special additives also aid in pumping the polystyrene concrete great distances without separation, even at very low densities.
Uses and application:
- Void-filling
- Surface leveling
- Screeds (min 50mm)
- Insulating screed base below underfloor heating systems or below conventional sand-and-cement screeds
- Insulating screeds below conventional sand and cement screeds
- Wall cavity insulation
- Lightweight concrete blocks
- Lightweight blocks for Rib & Block slabs
- Pre-fabricated lightweight panels
- Insulating screeds to fall on concrete roof
- Insulation to flat roofs
- Encapsulate corrugated steel roof sheets
- Encapsulate corrugated fibre cement roof sheets
- Encapsulate steel pipelines
- Alternative to compacted fill
- Waterproof membrane can be torched directly onto litecrete screeds
