Cladding Panels

Compressive strength: 4,5 MPa

The Cladding Panel is designed for internal and external cladding to timber or Light Steel frame structures. Manufactured to standard masonry unit dimensions they comply with all SANS 10400-K (walling) requirements. Lightweight concrete Cladding Panels are used as a replacement for conventional cladding such as gypsum and fibre cement boards. They offer vastly improved fire ratings when compared to traditional cladding.

Our lightweight concrete cladding panels can be plastered with conventional sand, cement plaster giving your structure the look and feel of a brick structure. These panels permanently sequester waste material and in turn, support our local green circular economy.

Specifications:

  • Designed as external and internal cladding to timber and light steel frame structures
  • Panel densities may vary between 500kg/m3 and 600kg/m3 due to recycled polystyrene aggregate content
  • The 40mm, 50mm and 75mm cladding panels all offer a 2-hour fire rating (as per Ignis Fire Testing's report – available upon request)
  • Lightweight and quick to install
  • No specialist training required on-site
  • Installed with a combination of tech screws and polyurethane waterproof adhesive
  • Can be plastered with conventional sand/cement plaster to give the appearance of conventional masonry structures
  • Excellent thermal resistance (cavity can be further insulated for even greater performance)
  • Good acoustic performance (demising walls may require added acoustic insulation in the wall cavity)
  • Less than 1% wastage on-site, which can be recycled
  • Transport savings
  • NB: Light concrete cladding panels are not designed as a structural element
  • Based on local and European standards for Polystyrene Concrete*

Structural Walling Panels

Compressive strength: 4,5 MPa

Structural walling panels are designed as ultra-lightweight masonry units (550kg/m3 density) for external and internal use where speed of construction is important. These panels offer far better fire ratings (120min) at lower rates when compared to other panel structures on the market. The walling panels for an average 50 square meter home can be installed in half a day, saving time and manpower.

Specifications:

  • Designed as structural load-bearing walls
  • Panel densities may vary between 500kg/m3 and600kg/m3 due to recycled polystyrene aggregate content
  • The 2100mm, 2400mm and 2700mm structural walling panels all offer a 2-hour fire rating (as per Ignis Fire Testing's report – available upon request)
  • Lightweight and quick to install
  • No specialist training required on-site
  • Minimal labour requirements
  • Specially reinforced with galvanised LWS frame elements
  • Can be plastered with conventional sand/cement plaster and alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh to give the appearance of conventional masonry structures
  • Excellent thermal resistance
  • Good acoustic performance
  • Less than 1% wastage on-site, which can be recycled
  • Transport savings
  • Based on local and European standards for Polystyrene Concrete*

Structural Floor Panels

Compressive strength: 4,5 MPa

Structural floor panels are designed as ultra-lightweight floor panel units (550kg/m3 density) for external and internal use where speed of construction is important. These floor panels offer fantastic fire ratings (120 min), acoustic and thermal performance. We offer floor panels that span either 600mm or 1200mm joint spacing, substantially reducing joist requirements when compared to other lightweight flooring systems on the market.

Specifications:

  • Designed as structural load-bearing floors
  • Panel densities may vary between 500kg/m3 and 600kg/m3due to recycled polystyrene aggregate content
  • The 1200mm and 2400mm structural floor panels offer a 2-hour fire rating (as per Ignis Fire Testing's report – available upon request)
  • Lightweight and quick to install
  • No specialist training required on-site
  • Specially reinforced with galvanised LWS frame elements
  • 600m or 1200mm joist span
  • 5mm self-levelling screed reinforced with alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh to give the appearance of conventional concrete floors
  • Excellent thermal resistance
  • Good acoustic performance
  • Less than 1% wastage on-site, which can be recycled
  • Transport savings
  • Based on local and European standards for Polystyrene Concrete*
